Morning Prayer- Steady Love

Psalm 143:8

Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust.

Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

1. Recognize/Realize my Great Need for You O Lord

Psalm 51:3 

For I know my transgressions,

and my sin is ever before me.

Ephesians 2:1, 5, 8, 9

-And you were dead in the trespasses and sins  in which you once walked

-even when we were dead in our trespasses, He made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.

-For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

1 John 1:8,9 

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

2. Create in me a Clean Heart

Psalm 51:10 

Create in me a clean heart, O God,

and renew a right spirit within me.

Titus 3:5

… he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation 

2 Corinthians 7:1

Let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

1 John 5:11-13

And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.

Lamentations 3:22

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;

His mercies never end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness

3. No Condemnation/More than Conquerers

Romans 8:1&37

1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

37 …in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us

2 Corinthians 5:21

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.  

4. Submit to Your Authority 

James 4:7

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1 Corinthians 6:19

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

5. Ask  for Wisdom

Proverbs 16:16

How much better to get wisdom than gold!

To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

James 1:5 

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

6. Present my body a Living Sacrifice

Romans 12:1–2

1 I appeal to you , brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

7. The Whole Armor of God  - spiritual warfare introduced - (PPE- Iron Dome)

Ephesians 6:10–20 

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.

14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.

16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all  the flaming darts of the evil one;

17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,

18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.

19&20

To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

8. Abide/Remain in Christ

John 8:31,32

If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

John 15:5–11 

5 “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing."

 6 “If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned."

 7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."

 8 “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.

 9 “Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love."

 10 “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love."

 11 “These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full."

9. Watching for the Father

John 5:17, 19-20

17 My father is still working, and I am working also.

19 Truly, I tell you, the son is not able to do anything on his own, but only what he sees the father doing. For whatever the father does, the son likewise does these things.

20 For the father loves the son and shows him everything he is doing, and he will show
